A team member is notified someone wants to adopt dog/cat.
The potential adopter is sent the link to our adoption application. The application is on our social media sites.
A team member will contact the person about which animals are available for adoption.
The application must be submitted for the process to continue.
Once application is received the potential adapter is interviewed by a member of the adoption team.
A home visit may be arranged. A requirement is a fenced yard for a dog.
The adopted pet must be neutered/spayed. If not already done, PAS arranges the appointment as well as vet appointment if there are any missing vaccines.
The Adoption Transfer form has to be signed by new adopter when we hand over the pet. The signed form transfers all responsibilities associated with the ownership of the animal.
